I'm Still Here

Hey Everyone,

 I'm still here.  I know I don't keep up on this thing but who really has the time right?  Well, where did I leave off?  Work is going really well still, actually today they offered me a different position.  It's kind of a step up from where I am at now.  I think I will take it.  It sounds like it will be a really good opportunity for growth and a challenge.  My birthday has come and gone.  We did some great celebrating!  Spent some time with "the girls" having brunch and shopping, you know all the typical girlie things. Then went to watch Armand play hockey, then he took me out to dinner.  The next weekend my friends had a party at a really nice seafood restaraunt called McCormick and Schmicks.  Yummy!  They all pitched in and got me an ice cream maker that goes on my new kitchen aid mixer (that my wonderful boyfriend got for me)  I love it!  All you do is freeze the bowl and then pour the ice cream mix in and let it mix for 20 minutes. Voila...Ice Cream!  It's the coolest thing ever (no pun intended).  Well, that's all the news for now.  Sorry it's been so long.  Hope to hear from you all really soon! :)

I realize that this took place a long time ago, but here is a picture of Armand and I when we went to my company's Christmas Party.  It kind of felt like prom because his mom was taking the picture for us. :) 

Well, I moved into my new place about a month ago.  Armand moved the same weekend.  We both have great roommates.  The only problem is that my roommate had a few more roommates that she failed to tell me about...ROACHES!  Yuck!  She wasn't real motivated to do anything about them so I had to be the one to call the exterminator.  I think we have that under control now.  Life is so much easier when you don't live 45 minutes away from everything and everyone.  Here is a picture of me and my cat, her name is Satine (a.k.a. schmoopies).  This was taken when I went home for Christmas.

I don't really have a lot to write about.  I am at work right now and the day is going by very slowly.  The weather has been crazy around here, cold then warm then cold again.  I am ready for summer.  I want to go to the beach!  Until then...

I am so blessed by the amazing people in my life!  I am so thankful that God knows what I need so much better than I do.  Moving all the way to Virginia was a scary thing at the time, but WOW has it been amazing.  I have been blessed with some pretty incredible friends and an even more incredible boyfriend.  Sometimes I can't believe the things that people do for me.  I know I don't deserve it.  I only hope that I can be as good to them as they are to me.  That being said, my friend Karen bought me tickets to go see Les Miserables for Christmas.  It was awesome!  I have seen it before but it was about 10 years ago.  It was even better than I remember it.  We hung around by the stage door after it was over and got a couple of autographs, that was fun.  We were Les Mis groupies!  Ok, now completely off topic...I  heard from Jeremy and Megan Ritchie who are living in Florida now, they saw the "Baby Got Book" Video.  I can't believe that thing is still getting around.  "Oh my goodness,  Becky look at her Bible...it is so big!"  How funny.  Alright, well that's all for now. 

Ok, so either my life is really boring and I just don't have anything to write about or my life is so full of excitement that I just don't have time to write.  I'd like to think so.  My days are filled with long commutes to and from work, dance classes, Bible Study, Hockey games (watching Armand), and if I am lucky the occasional reality T.V. shows.  Never fear though, my commute is soon to be shorter.  Yes, I am moving again!  It's going to cut my commute in half.  I am kind of nervous about this because I needed a roommate so I found one on the internet.  I have only talked with her twice now but she is very nice.  I think that it will be fun.  Well, my dance class that I am taking was an adult tap class.  But the other two girls in the class decided to drop out for some reason so they decided to cancel the class because it was just me that was left.  So they told me I could join the tap 4 class, which is the advanced class but they are young.  Well, I decided to do it anyway because I want to keep dancing.  They are ages 12-14!!! They are so little!  I am a giant next to them, they don't even have boobs yet!!!  But I must say they can dance circles around me...that's probably because they don't have boobs to weigh them down.  Armand and I are thinking about taking Tae Kwon Do together.  He did it when he was a kid.  We just thought it would be a fun thing for us to do together.  This weekend is the holiday party for the company I work for.  It is going to be at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.  I think it will be fun because we don't really get a chance to play dress up very often.  And the best part is it's all free!  Well, I would love to chat some more but it's quitin' time so I am outta here!

Hey there!  Well, I'm comin' at ya live from the beautiful metropolis of Joplin MO.  Yes, I am home for Christmas until Wednesday Dec. 28. So I had a lot of fun in New York, but it is difficult visiting people that live there because the things that I find exciting are just everyday life to them.  It is a very cool  city but I am so glad I am not there this weekend with all the transit workers on strike!  That looks like a mess.  What else is new?  Oh, I went to a Bon Jovi concert last week.  It was so awesome...what a great show.  He looks pretty good for 43.  I was actually surprised at how many songs that I knew.  My job is going really well.  It is very busy so I never really have time to write on this xanga thing.  Right now I am looking for a new place to live.  I really like my place now and I love my roommate but it is just so far away from where I work and go to church.  It takes me forever to get anywhere and I am getting sick of it.  So the search is on for a new roommate.  I would love to live alone but it is too expensive to live in Northern VA.  So, wish me luck!  Merry Christmas to everyone reading this...I would love to hear from you!
